Dustin Williams, PhD

Director of Research & Analysis

Dustin Williams, PhD is the Director of Research & Analysis at LIT IQ. A social psychologist by training, Dustin brings deep expertise in cognitive science, statistical modeling, psychometrics, and juror decision-making to the platform’s research and analytical work.

He also serves as an assistant professor of psychology at East Central University, where he teaches cognitive and social psychology, research methods, and psychometrics. Those same disciplines inform the behavioral models and research frameworks used within LIT IQ.

Dustin earned his Ph.D. in Business Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where his doctoral research focused on how people make high-involvement decisions. That work translates directly to litigation, where jurors and other decision-makers must weigh competing evidence, evaluate credibility, assess risk, and form judgments under uncertainty.

At LIT IQ, Dustin helps lead the design, validation, and analysis of the research models that power the platform. He develops quantitative and behavioral frameworks that help identify narrative pressure points, measure shifts in attitudes, evaluate damages risk, and track how decision-makers respond as new facts and arguments are introduced.

His work also connects traditional jury research with LIT IQ’s synthetic decision-maker technology. Dustin helps design the questions, scenarios, and testing frameworks used to evaluate liability, damages, witness credibility, themes, and case strategy. He is especially focused on making sure the platform’s outputs remain grounded in sound research methodology, behavioral science, and measurable patterns of decision-making.

Dustin also plays a key role in developing facilitation frameworks, identifying cognitive biases, refining research questions, and translating complex data into practical strategy for lawyers, claims professionals, and risk managers.

In many ways, Dustin provides the research engine behind LIT IQ, helping ensure that the platform does more than generate answers. It measures how and why decision-makers are moving, and gives clients a clearer understanding of what is driving that movement.
